Raisa Regozo, RMT
My name is Raisa and I am a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Reflexologist. Massage has always been something I enjoyed doing, and I always knew that health care was a great choice for me to help people. I therefore enrolled and graduated from the massage therapy program at Sutherland-Chan. There, I learned all the benefits of massage - not just making people feel more relaxed - and put it into practice in our clinics. I had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients living with the effects of whiplash, headaches, spasm, tendonitis, pain from chronic injuries, mental health illness and MS as well as high risk prenatal, post-partum, and geriatric clients.
I not only enjoy helping clients in their relaxation and easing their stress, but find that educating them on what they can do to feel more relaxed on a daily basis, more rewarding.
I took on Reflexology after someone in my class had mentioned it. It is amazing to believe that a whole map of the body rests in the feet. We highly underestimate how much time we spend on our feet in a day; unfortunately, in a typical full body massage the feet may sometimes be overlooked. Reflexology is a relaxing, non-invasive modality that works every part, organ and gland in the body, making them function more effectively.
